As we hit mid-summer the art world slows down in NYC. Many galleries choose to close over the month of August and reopen in September with major and important exhibitions.

Since being vaccinated, I’m really looking forward to seeing more art in person, talking to artists and dealers in person and having more face-to-face interactions.

If you don’t want to wait until September to see some art, plan your road trip now. You can get your art & nature fix upstate at the Upstate Art Weekend, Aug 27-29,
2021 for more details on events and venues: https://www.upstateartweekend.org/

Due to COVID, one of the biggest changes has been the shift in dates for long standing art fairs. The Armory Show celebrating its 27th year will be presented for the first time in person since March 2020 at a new venue with a new date. The Armory show’s new dates are September 9-12 at the Javits Center with 194 international galleries participating. This will be the largest art fair in NYC since COVID shut down the city in mid-March 2020.
